Camera notes

Using only natural light, these pictures were taken during  the photo class “Creative Excursions” in Tuscany. Making the best of natural light, waiting endlessly for the light, obsessed by the light, waiting for the light after a storm, the magic light.  When the light is right, touches our soul, makes our hearts beat, and fills our eyes with enthusiasm, then you click.

The C\e work shop was based on the Pictorialists, whom believed that photography was not about the recording of documentary facts nor was it a vehicle for trying to recreate works of art, but was a means of creating a new , purely photographic reality. This was a reality, that could only be made to exist in a photograph. the camera was merely the implement used to transfer the photographer’s vision onto the world.  The Pictorialists 1890.
